[edit]I'm a bit confused by the fact that most of this article is a list of characters who 'briefly joined the Shadowpact' or some such. My reading of the Day of Vengence Special was just that the 6 core members of Shadowpact happened to be working with all the rest of the mystical superheroes, not that 'they joined Shadowpact'. I realize this is something of a quibble but, well, it also seems to be most of this article. - Markeer 00:16, 12 April 2006 (UTC)
- Adding to that, I'd like to quibble over the roster listing Warlock's Daughter as a member. Where was that established? Also, the Phantom Stranger, though he declined joining the 'Pact in the DoV series, is still aiding them in their new series, playing a role similar to Gaia among the Planeteers. Cybertooth85 05:54, 8 May 2006 (UTC)
- Warlock's Daughter left with the Shadowpact at the end of Robin #145, the text implied she had joined, although she hasn't appeared since. - Brett Dunbar 24 May 2006
One Year Later?
[edit]I don't have any of the comics so I'm forced to ask someone who does: Did/Does the miniseries start before the OYL with the characters being trapped in the town during the events of 52? If so, it might be worth adding their names (or team name) to the synopsis section of the One Year Later article which lists heroes who have been absent during that year. I'd do it but, as I say, I don't know if my assumption is true. Thanks to anyone who wants to take this on!--SilentJustice 20:34, 4 June 2006 (UTC)
Felix Faust and the Demons Three
[edit]Has it been revealed how Nightshade got away from Felix Faust and the Demons Three? - Jeffrywith1e 15:34, 12 August 2006 (UTC)
- No. Nor how Superman had powers when the Shadowpact entered the bubble. --Chris Griswold 23:52, 12 August 2006 (UTC)
- Nightshade's abduction was done at the behest of Alex Luthor since she was the best energy source available representing "Earth-4". She didn't escape from then since she was deliverd to Luthor prior to the recreation of the multiverse. As for Superman... I've gotten the impresion that it may be addressed in the upcoming issue of 52. - J Greb 09:19, 5 September 2006 (UTC)
- You're absolutelt right: I guess I combined this thread with the one below and responded, thinking he was asking why the appear in 52. --Chris Griswold (☎☓) 12:35, 8 September 2006 (UTC)
Detective Chimp's Appearance on 52 Cover
[edit]Anyone got any idea or any plan of adding something about the CHimp's appearance on a cover of 52 (alongside Ralph and the Dr. Fate helmet). It kinda goes against the whole story in Shadowpact... Scarletspeed7 01:47, 17 August 2006 (UTC)
- With 52 #18 in hand, there is no explanation for the time line for the team's appearances in the Day of Vengeance Special, Shadowpact #1, and 52 #1 & #18. Assumptions can be made, with the appearance of Superman, that Shadowpact #1 either happened before the end of Infinite Crisis or after the end of the "One Year Later" Superman story arc. However, since the team appears in their Day of Vengeance costumes in 52, it would appear that those events happened prior to the ongoing series.
- It is likely that someone will address this, either in Shadowpact or 52, but that is in no way a guarantee.
- On that note, is this worth putting into the article at this point? J Greb 08:26, 8 September 2006 (UTC)
- Not really. Not until we understand it. --Chris Griswold (☎☓) 12:36, 8 September 2006 (UTC)
- The 52 trade paperback lists this as a continuity error in the comments section by the creators. In Mark Waid's words:
The introduction of the Shadowpact into our story — one of our early attempts to show, as promised, what was going on with some of the other players in the DC Universe during this year — blew up in our collective face when the Shadowpact writer inadvertently but simultaneously wrote them OUT of the DC Universe during this year. No good deed goes unpunished. I bring this up in case devoted Shadowpact fans think we didn't notice. Believe me, we noticed.

Notable former members list
[edit]In consolidating the members roster and the list of characters who have assisted the team I have come across a problem. The superteam infobox allows for "Notable former members" but not "Notable allies". As presented in-story, the team has only been the core six characters. Everyone else has either been there as an advisor to, or just working with the team. I've eliminate these two short lists with the information appearing in the infobox:
- The original and core members of the team are:
- Blue Devil
- Nightmaster
- Enchantress
- Detective Chimp
- Ragman
- Nightshade
- The original and core members of the team are:
- Those who have acted in concert with the team are:
- Black Alice
- Captain Marvel
- Phantom Stranger
- Warlock's Daughter
I believe the second list should be eliminated from the infobox and the information just be left in the text paragraphs. Is there a consensus or policy in this matter? J Greb 07:47, 8 September 2006 (UTC)
- You are absolutely right. Allies do not belong in that field. --Chris Griswold (☎☓) 12:37, 8 September 2006 (UTC)
Series Ending
[edit]The series Shadowpact ended; introduction edited to reflect that change, along with their next appearances. I'm not too good at this citation thing so I've only linked back to the URL's; if someone could revise/"formalize" the citation a bit I'd appreciate it. That Jason (talk) 04:18, 31 May 2008 (UTC)

While the article covers the subject well, the subject really does not have that much to cover.
Idealy, as the history of the team grows, the article will grow as well. — J Greb 00:01, 26 October 2006 (UTC) |
