Talk:Serration
Some Changes
[edit]I am rewording the parts about screw cross sections to make more sense, and botanical serrations to reflect the fact that some things are known, such as leaf edges being serrated, and some things are not really known, such as the reasons why. Then I also added some words about pinking shears, brogue shoes, and mountain ranges, etc., and ended up tweaking a lot of the wording generally. I'm surprised that I'm making so many changes but I think they are all reasonable and meritorious. Friendly Person (talk) 18:00, 11 July 2013 (UTC)
- I agree. Well done! bd2412 T 19:13, 11 July 2013 (UTC)
Great concept
[edit]Kudos for a "serration" page. Given social knowledge's tendency towards deconstruction and reduction, a detail that's common to diverse domains can end up with diverse, mutually unintelligible definitions. Because serration is an observable pattern, wikipedia can synthesize different domain knowledges without expressing 'new research.'

Proposed merge from Serrated blade
[edit]Serrated blade appears to be a permanent stub, and is just a particular case of Serration. Is there a good reason not to merge these? BD2412 T 17:49, 20 November 2024 (UTC)
