Fertility symbol?

This is teased in the lead. Where are these beliefs and legends in the article itself? - Smerdis of Tlön - killing the human spirit since 2003! 05:32, 19 March 2017 (UTC)
- Ditto. Does any source discuss the details of the fertility symbol/prophecy claims in the intro ("...largely seen as a fertility symbol and the subject of ...prophecy.")? Though obvious from its appearance, I only saw an oblique reference to Douglas and/or Gibson-Hill in the Penang section. Did I miss something else in the article? Could someone with access to the sources expand on the topic a bit? — AjaxSmack 18:48, 19 March 2017 (UTC)
