Herberger's death
[edit]The German Wiki article says that Herberger suffered a heart attack and died of that few hours later in hospital. The English article says he died of pneumonia. Which version is correct (given that both cannot be correct simultaneously)? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 134.100.110.167 (talk) 13:47, 30 June 2016 (UTC)

what sayings?
[edit]"Three of these sayings are quoted in the beginning of the 1998 film Run Lola Run." ... no sayings previously listed, so this statement is logically incorrect. Someone else should change it because when I tried I got a semi-nasty note and it was reverted.
- The quotes used to be there, but the quote section got so big that it was ripped out in toto. Pity that you weren't permitted to edit. The section used to read, in part:
- Similar in some ways with both highly successful no-nonsense coaches like Vince Lombardi and Bill Belichick, but also quirky funny coaches like Yogi Berra, in Germany and around the soccer world, Sepp Herberger was noted for his ability to sum up the essence of the game in short catchy phrases that stood out, many of which survive to this day.
- Some of those phrases are;
-- "The game lasts for 90 minutes." (said in German as "Das Spiel dauert 90 Minuten.") --
-- "After the game is before the game." (said in German as "Nach dem Spiel ist vor dem Spiel.") --
-- "The ball is always in better shape than anyone." (said in German as "Der Ball hat immer die beste Kondition.") --
-- "The next game/opponent is always the toughest one." (said in German as "Das nächste Spiel/Der nächste Gegner ist immer das/der schwerste") --
-- "If one doesn't know where to pass the ball, one must just put it in the goal!" (said in German as "Wenn man nicht weiß wohin mit dem Ball, dann muss man ihn einfach ins Tor schießen!") --
- Probably his most famous quote is;
-- "The ball is round." (said in German as "Der Ball ist rund.") --
- While this is the most-often cited version, the full quotation is actually;
-- "The ball is round so that the game can change direction" (said in German as "Der Ball ist rund, damit das Spiel Richtung ändern kann.")[1] --
- However, there is also a popularized amalgamation of those quotes which extends;
-- "The ball is round. The game is 90 minutes. That much is fact. Everything else is theory" (said in German as "Der Ball ist rund. Der Spiel dauert 90 Minuten. So viel ist schon mal klar. Alles andere ist Theorie.") --
