Election

[edit]

There is much talk given to the history of this body, but no general overview of how it is elected. Is it elected, like the mayor, from the within the members of the Abgeordnetenhaus, or can the Senate and the Mayor be elected from the entire citizentry of Berlin? If elected from within the Abgeordnetenhaus from its members, how are those vacancies field? Please add some information on how exactly this body is formed. --Criticalthinker (talk) 13:16, 21 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Never mind, I was not reading closely enough. I now see that the Senate is not - aside from the Governing Mayor - an elected body. --Criticalthinker (talk) 00:50, 23 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]

'Oberbürgermeister' being called 'Lord Mayor'

[edit]

Oberbürgermeister really doesnt translate into 'Lord Mayor'. It's a small thing, but it threw me off. Shouldnt it be changed to something more apropriate?
