Expanding the article
[edit]One part of the article that needs to be expanded on is the importance of Selma Fraiberg's work. My plan is to explain her studies and what they added to the field of psychology. One of the important areas to expand is the details of her child blindness studies, since that was where a large amount of her research was focused on. Explaining her studies and how they contributed to the field of psychology would add depth of her importance to the article. Ahellmann10 (talk) 02:17, 5 October 2014 (UTC)
In the article there is no mention of Selma Fraiberg's early life. I would include information regarding both her academic life and her personal life. Allison.j.morse (talk) 19:24, 6 October 2014 (UTC)
An issue with the article that I found is there are no examples of the studies Selma Fraiberg performed for her work. The article goes over a little of what she found from her studies but doesn't include the studies.Lbednarz11 (talk) 15:42, 8 October 2014 (UTC)
To-Do List
[edit]- Find information on Selma's work using articles that include the importance of her work. These can be used to explain her findings and how her contributions added to the field of psychology.
- Add a publications list of her books.
- Expand the introduction paragraph to include everything that is added to the article. Ahellmann10 (talk) 13:38, 16 October 2014 (UTC)
- Add information from Selma's personal life, such as where she grew up, if she got married, and if she had children.
- Add information as to where she went to school and received her degree. Allison.j.morse (talk) 19:23, 16 October 2014 (UTC)
- Organize all the findings into categories such as: biography, ideas, legacy(what she contributed to psychology), works, further readings, etc... Lbednarz11 (talk) 16:39, 17 October 2014 (UTC)
- give examples of the experiments she performed and the findings from each study. Lbednarz11 (talk) 16:39, 17 October 2014 (UTC)
- Add a picture and overview to the article at the beginning.Lbednarz11 (talk) 16:39, 17 October 2014 (UTC)
- add pictures to the entire article. Lbednarz11 (talk) 16:39, 17 October 2014 (UTC)

Division of Tasks
[edit]I will research the personal life of Selma Fraiberg, including her education. Allison.j.morse (talk) 19:29, 16 October 2014 (UTC) Should the personal life and education be separate sections or all in one? Allison.j.morse (talk) 20:58, 5 November 2014 (UTC)
I will find more information about her findings and explain what they contributed to the field of psychology. Also, explaining these contributions as her lasting legacy. Ahellmann10 (talk) 21:47, 16 October 2014 (UTC)
I will work on the introduction, add pictures, do the picture with short summary, and her publications. Lbednarz11 (talk) 17:50, 17 October 2014 (UTC)
Feedback for Assignment 9
[edit]General comments: You’ve already done some great work to improve this article. There’s still a little bit to go, but you are well on your way to final wrap-up. Ideas and information on Talk page are quite good. It’s time to start putting more of this into the main article.
- See the brochure, Editing Wikipedia Articles on Psychology, 2nd page, Organizing your article/An article on a psychologist.
- Would be nice to add her picture. Look at other Wikipedia biographical articles (e.g., James J. Gibson )to see how a picture can be added to the infobox.
Comments on specific sections of the main article follow:
1. Lead-in
- this is good
2. Personal life
- could add more info here
3. Education
- good, but title ‘Academic career’
- was the masters degree in SW as far as she went?
- indicate professional positions that she held after earning Ph.D.
- move publications to Publications
- move last sentence up to Personal life.
4. Last three sections are empty
- change title of Work/Career Findings to Contributions
- change title of Lasting Contributions/Legacy to Legacy
- make this the final section

Assignment 10 Feedback
[edit]The only part of the article that was plagiarized were parts of the references and a few of the headings. Since the references are in a particular format this can not be changed. As for the headings, since there are only so many ways to write a particular heading I do not think this is something that needs to be changed. Ahellmann10 (talk) 19:38, 3 December 2014 (UTC)
That is all i found as well. I don't think anything needs to be changed. Lbednarz11 (talk) 18:17, 12 December 2014 (UTC)
