Need to add data on the 2002 re-release

[edit]

I'm having browser problems tonight, so I can't do this task right now, but we need to add data about the 2002 re-release that had bonus tracks by band members and family. Lawikitejana (talk) 06:52, 4 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I'll review this article shortly. Wizardman Operation Big Bear 19:11, 25 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Here's the issues I found:

  • "as part of the Selena: 20 Years of Music collection that included spoken liner notes" no idea what that means.
  • "Live! led Selena to win an unprecedented feat in the Tejano market," This feels rather POV and unnecessary.
  • "soon after Live! release." reword to "soon after the release of Live!" A bit passive, but Live!'s wouldn't look right.
  • "which were simultaneously in the top 5 positions" top five
  • "After Selena had opened her boutiques in January 1993,[7] she had decided " rm both hads, makes the prose feel crisper.
  • "to record a live album, while she " rm comma
  • "influenced with rock that centers the organ as its musical instrument foundation." not bad as is, but could be fine-tuned; took me a couple reads to figure out what it meant.
  • "singer for the band, Pete Astudillo." Astudillo's linked above so doesn't have to be here.
  • "The song describes a women" a woman
  • "The album remained on the chart, hovering the top 20 spots, respectively." Not sure what the sentence is meant to say; not the right usage of respectively either.
  • "peaked at number two before it hovered the top 10 spots " as above, feels like there's a word missing.

I'll put the article on hold, and after that I'll re-read it. Not sure whether I'll pass or fail just yet even after the above changes are made. Wizardman Operation Big Bear 03:36, 27 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

 Done All. Best, Jonayo! Selena 4 ever 04:49, 27 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Okay, looks good. If you could fine someone to fine-tune the prose some more, I'd be willing to pass it. Right now it's not quite at GA-level but not bad enough to fail. Wizardman Operation Big Bear 16:13, 27 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]
User:Tbhotch‎ recently c/e the article for me. I believe its now up to GA level. Best, Jonayo! Selena 4 ever 21:00, 28 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]
