There is no mention that his work was borrowed / sampled / ripped off by Mac DeMarco for Chamber of Reflection, which seems to be where Sekitō has garnered followers from a younger generation of listeners, and a substantial amount of streams on Spotify. If anyone can find a decent source better than Reddit discussing this please throw it up.
A number of edits have been attempted in the last year to note that Sekitō has died. His death may be factual; I personally believe it is. However, no reputable sources are offered for this, other than user-generated sites that are unacceptable here. I've tried again and again to find confirmation of his death from Japanese sources, but nothing turns up.
