Origin?
[edit]Does anyone know? Where does the name "Seemingly unrelated regression" come from?
- The name first appeared in Zellner (1962), and he didn’t go into details why he called it such. Maybe it's obvious: the equations are “seemingly unrelated” ? // stpasha » 18:14, 8 May 2010 (UTC)
Equivalence to OLS
[edit]The 'Kruskal's theorem' in the cited reference that shows SUR is equivalent to OLS when the regressors are the same is **not** Kruskal's Tree Theorem. It's a theorem without its own Wiki page, by Joseph Kruskal's brother, William. It's here 2001:DF0:0:202C:1591:8AA3:44AF:21A8 (talk) 22:13, 6 February 2023 (UTC)
