John Bushemi

[edit]

There could be a cross reference to the John Bushemi article: https://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/John_Bushemi

There is a reference to Hargrove in that article and Bushemi does appear in the book.

5/29 edit

[edit]

I just removed one of two citations of the same sentence by Elaine Woo. The first such citation is irrelevant or dubious, because the editor that put it there was using it as proof that the book was popular. Woo's actual quote was not about the book's popularity, it was about Lloyd Shearer's apparent "notoriety" (which is not sufficiently explained to make the later use of the sentence a relevant cite). Her use of the word "popular" in the sentence is not proof that the book was popular, because she was not writing about the book's popularity, nor was she presenting herself as knowledgeable about the book's success. An appropriate cite to support the book's popularity would cite numbers, awards, or would support the claim in a previous sentence that the book was at the top of the NYT Bestseller List. The final paragraph of the lead does not seem to be relevant to this article at all. It has to do with Shearer's unexplained "notoriety", which might be relevant to the article about Shearer, but is no more relevant to this article than would be an description of the weather on the day that Hargrove turned it over to his publisher. I also removed the sole external link which was about the film adaptation. There is already an article about that film, and the same ext. link is already there. It is not relevant to this article. 98.231.237.15 (talk) 15:09, 29 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]
