Hello, Wiki VA-66 cruises left out a Mediterranean cruise from Sept 71 - March 72. VA-66 lost an AMS3, Arthur Wigglesworth, a friend and shipmate during that cruise. Please add this cruise to the list in Wiki. It was on the Independence CVA-62. Also, we did this big NATO task force event in the Arctic Circle. Two aircraft carriers, the Indy and the Ark Royal (Yes, the WW2 carrier). Ark Royal F4s landed on the Indy, and likewise our F4s on the Royal. Brit F4s nose struts extended much more than our struts....much like raking a motorcycle...Brit pilots had more swagger, but not sure how they can fly and fight in the air. Thanks, Dan McAuliffe 2600:1702:2060:1CF0:2512:7189:ABEA:5026 (talk) 00:06, 19 November 2024 (UTC)
