"It is an elaborately carved table from around 1600"

According to a programmme broadcast on BBC Two today, the table was acquired by Bess of Hardwick in the 1570s, so must date from considerably before 1600. Harfarhs (talk) 20:25, 12 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
