It is proposed that Lewisham North (Scout District) be merged here. Districts are not notable. There are no other District or even County articles of the Scout Association, to my knowledge (if there are, they too should be merged or deleted). Indeed we have taken a lot of trouble to make sure that this kind of material is properly dealt with in articles about Scouting (not just the Scout Association) in the government regions, and not at County or District level. Some of this material can be merged. The rest, including lists of Groups, is just promotion and should be deleted. Please discuss below. --Bduke (Discussion) 21:02, 19 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

  • Merge completed. The campsite information was moved over into the section on campsites with minor changes. The district information however was mostly not notable. We do not list Groups. --Bduke (Discussion) 03:00, 9 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

General discussion on these region Scouting pages

[edit]

There has been a discussion at Talk:Scouting in South West England#Not a satisfactory article that could equally apply to this article and all other 11 region articles in England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. I have moved the discussion to Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Scouting#Scouting in the regions of England. Please take a look. --Bduke (Discussion) 09:33, 22 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
