This Some Sort of Joke?

The extreme lack of citations - and the vague and voluminous context of the references - kind of make me suspicious of this entire page and its subject. Not to even mention its fantastical accounts. Scotty Smith some sort of folk-hero in South Africa, serial killer, or is this entire page farcical?
