[edit]

Started this article today after just finding about the party's existence. It is unclear whether they are serious or a Scottish attempt at a Monster Raving Loony Party. Some of their ideas are pretty outlandish to say the least, but they may well be serious in holding them. This is why I have avoided stating whether or not they are a "joke" party or not - suppose that might be clearer when (or if - I expect they will fade fairly quickly) they stand for election. This is a hoax, started by one of the regular commenters at www.Politicalbetting.com blog.

It is not registered with the Electoral Commission:

According to this website 1 they are in fact a registered party with the Electoral Commission. Can you state for certain that they aren't when this would evidence that they are. If it is the case that they are in fact registered (as it would appear they are) there is nothing in the article text that is inaccurate thus no justification for deleting the article!

The party is mentioned on the BBCs website here[1], suggesting they are not a joke or hoax Willy turner 12:13, 16 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

If I suggested that Prince Charlie was a republican (not like Bush, but a leftist), at best that would be a phoney. Even Charlie should be immune to such accusations, as he was still more absolutist than the Hannovers. Modern interperation indeed, it only is an imagenary of Robert Burn's poems.
