Diambiguate?

[edit]

What do people here think about turning this page into a disambiguation page between the current subject of this article, the Scottish footballer and the Scottish civil engineering company [1] and any other notable Scott Wilsons that turn up. To my mind, none of them is obviously a more primary meaning than any of the others (it is, after all, a name). What do folk think? Am I being hopelessly biased towards Scotland in thinking that the judge doesn't seem to have done anything hugely notable, save being a high-ranking judge? --Scott Wilson 02:51, 5 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I suppose that User:Scott Wilson has standing to raise this issue. I am an American and write judicial biography articles, but I wouldn't say that Judge Wilson is astonishingly noteworthy. On the other hand, I'm not in a position to say much about the Scottish footballer. There will probably be relatively few users in a position with knowledge of both to do the weighing. :) As for the engineering company, if this does become a disambiguation page I have no objection to mentioning it, but I don't think it should be a factor in this decision unless and until the company has an article of its own. I suppose a disambiguation page may be warranted. Swampyank 16:44, 5 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The footballer isn't hugely notable either, other than playing in the top Scottish league for one of the top clubs. Unless there's any opposition, I'll go ahead and make the change later on this week. --Scott Wilson 18:30, 9 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
