Clean up

[edit]

I've started to clean up this article, because it looked more like an overly detailed self-written resumé than an encyclopedic article. – Editør (talk) 11:36, 18 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]

@Editør: I have started revising this article in detail and am working on removing any language that is not neutral, removing outdated links (replacing those with current links where possible and removing content where there is no longer a source to support an item). I am working to lighten detail and any repetitiveness and am working on improving all the things that have been pointed out. I did want to clarify: I do not have any relation to the subject; I am someone who is keenly interested in the Gilmour era of Pink Floyd. My interest also includes the albums and tours in that era that Page did not participate in, e.g., I contributed to the article about Ahmed Emad Eldin and have contributed other things that fall under that umbrella. That said, my interest in music also goes beyond Pink Floyd. Scott Page is one of the first subjects I devoted research and attention to and that was concurrent to a lot of my earlier efforts on Wikipedia. I hope that bit of experience I may have gained since can help me improve the article but I thought it was important to clarify that it's done in good faith, in the interest of service, and in the interest of helping preserve parts of that band's history. I hope you will consider amending the banners at the top as I work on this, including the one that states I have a direct relation to the subject matter. I am going through each section separately and taking time looking at each and its links. I have only worked on improving the introductory section. Thank you.--1987atomheartbrother (talk) 18:26, 8 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]
I've revised the Early Life section of the page: removed two dead links, removed a link that no longer supports part of the information on that section, and added a new reference that supports that same bit of information.--1987atomheartbrother (talk) 01:12, 18 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]
