Ridiculous article
[edit]All in the title... Yet I should add "feels like it was written by an 8-year-old". Too bad I don't know much about Scott Columbus to help improve this article.
- Manowar's fanbase is pretty rabid, and also pretty Eastern European. Every single Mano-related Wiki page reads like this. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 122.149.80.120 (talk) 06:36, 9 September 2010 (UTC)
Could somebody please improve the spelling and grammar mistakes in the artcile? I begrudge doing it myself as I'm not a native speaker of English. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 80.145.149.125 (talk) 08:39, 9 July 2012 (UTC)
On Dawk Stilwell's website forum (he's Manowar's engineer since the beginning) he answered a question on Scott Columbus' absence. His response: "DAWK SAYS:
HE'S LOST ALL OF HIS FAMILY IN THE LAST YEAR...
HE FELT THAT HIS MIND WOULD NOT BE ON HIS PERFORMANCE...
HE'LL BE BACK............
I THINK RHINO DID A INCREDIBLE JOB... ;D
YOURS,,, JOHNDAWKSTILLWELL... "
Considering that in studio they are using what appears to be loops and Donnie Hamzik will be this year's tour drummer it may be quite some time before Scott Columbus finds his way back to Manowar, if ever. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.164.190.25 (talk) 23:55, 3 June 2009 (UTC)
Manowar Drummer Scott Columbus Dead At Age 54
[edit]http://geeksofdoom.com/2011/04/05/manowar-drummer-scott-columbus-dead-at-age-54/
"The information was first posted by former Manowar guitarist Ross “The Boss” Friedman on his own Facebook page, and later verified by Columbus’ girlfriend Nancy. According to the posts available at the time of this writing, Columbus died early in the evening of Monday, April 4, 2011. Cause of death is not known at this time." —Preceding unsigned comment added by 91.21.83.84 (talk) 12:10, 5 April 2011 (UTC)
- Needs a reliable source; so far all we have is blogs. 狐 Dhéanamh ar rolla bairille! 12:22, 5 April 2011 (UTC)
- A reliable source? It's a secondary source, they're referring to the Manowar Facebook page. But even the Manowar page or mass media aren't primary sources. A primary source is e.g. the death certificate of an official. Mass media could be a primary source in a certain context, for example if the original source wouldn't be available anymore. "All we have is blogs" is the same quality phrase as "all we have is Wikipedia". As a historian I don't count any of them as "reliable", but as "reliable" under certain conditions. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 91.21.99.127 (talk) 11:24, 6 April 2011 (UTC)
about his son
[edit]Was he ill or not? The article states he was, but it then exposes an interview where he himself says he was not. That looks like a good source? I think it may be worth to add some "supposedly", as in "his son supposedly fell ill" or something like this, but my English is not very good so I'll set someone take care of this. 90.163.167.157 (talk) 05:08, 12 May 2011 (UTC)
External links
[edit]Note that I will be restoring the external link to the Scott Columbus official website. It is being repeatedly removed by the same editor without explanation. As WP:EL clearly states a link to an official website should be included when available, the link should remain unless there is a viable reason to exclude it. Scott Columbus and Joey Belladonna (Bellardini)
[edit]It should be noted...and it's very important.
Scott Columbus (ManOWar) hails from Oswego, NY...along with Joey Belladonna (Bellardini) (Anthrax). In fact, they played in the same bands throughout their early high school days. Their most well know collaborative band at the time was called "Medusa". Undoubtedly, the source of song titled "Medusa", from Anthrax's album "Spreading The Disease". — Preceding unsigned comment added by 99.144.68.179 (talk) 06:30, 11 March 2017 (UTC)
