Private? Public?
[edit]I'm fairly sure what I was reverting was vandalism, but it is private, right? GofG ||| Contribs 20:30, 18 June 2006 (UTC)
1926 U.S. Open
[edit]I removed the section detailing the 1926 U.S. Open tournament, as it was a direct copy from the club site. It is explicitly marked as copyrighted on the source page. Carl Lindberg 17:16, 1 September 2006 (UTC)
the Columbus Pro-Am
[edit]Which was held from 1966 through 1975 was held here and should be added. There's surprisingly little documentation concerning that tournament that I can find. I was shocked actually. Try Googling The Columbus Pro-Aml and see what you get. It's probably in his book but I don't necessarily want to go to the library to find it. I caddied Scioto for a few months in 1966 and went to the tournament that year. Actually, I finished my morning paper route (Columbus citizen Journal) in Grandview, rode my bicycle onto the golf course hid in the bushes near the 2nd hole fell asleep until the tournament started then came out and watched all day. Nicholas Palmer Snead weiskopf Trevino Rodriguez. It was quite a day. But the Columbus Pro-Am definitely needs to be added to this page. I just haven't been able to find the right reference. I found a New York Times article about it in 66 but that's not sufficient to document it through 1975. Jackhammer111 (talk) 07:05, 19 December 2021 (UTC)
