Your article states that the subject died in 1961. Your photograph shows him in a Padres uniform. The present-day Padres were established in 1969. The solution is that there was a minor league team named the San Diego Padres (of the Pacific Coast League) long before 1969. You might want to mention that the photo shows him in his minor-league coaching uniform in order to avoid confusion.
