Moving to Catechetical School of Edessa

[edit]

@Srnec: Parallel to Catechetical School of Alexandria and Catechetical School of Antioch. The School of Edessa was predominantly a Christian theological school. Br Ibrahim john (talk) 03:05, 7 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

And contrary to School of Nisibis and School of Seleucia-Ctesiphon. I think the shorter title is more common in RS. Srnec (talk) 01:35, 8 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

The School of Nisibis was not just a Catechetical School. It taught Medicine and Science too. However, the School of Seleucia-Ctesiphon was basically a Catechetical School. Br Ibrahim john (talk) 08:58, 26 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Puzzle

[edit]

The article states (para.1) tht Ephrem became the School's director following his move from the School of Nisibis, after the Persians took Nisibis in 363. But para.2 describes Qiiore as its first recorded director - in C.5: that is, later. 2A04:B2C2:1804:1600:5599:F642:24B1:25F2 (talk) 02:21, 8 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
