Malabar or Travancore?
[edit]This ritual is a part of the heritage of Malabar or Travancore?
The two locations are totally different in many aspects. Or is it possible that this is there in both locations, due to the presence of the Nair households in both locations? Inside Malabar itself, the nairs of north Malabar were different from the nairs of south Malabar. But then, in Travancore, the nair households did have Cobra family/families residing inside their household as per Native Life in Travancore. However, the same is not seen reported in Malabar Manual written by William Logan. But then, serpent worship is there in Malabar also.
And is this ritual seen in the Tamilnadu locations? For, it is very evident from the writings in Travancore State Manual that Travancore was initially a Tamil speaking area. 117.222.174.63 (talk) 03:43, 26 September 2022 (UTC)
