New Spokesperson for Jenny Craig
[edit]It should probably be added on here that she has recently signed on to be a new spokesperson for Jenny Craig, following Kirstie Alley and Valerie Bertinelli. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.243.219.97 (talk) 08:16, 3 December 2009 (UTC)
Would like link added to External Links
[edit]I'm trying to add a link to my Sara Rue fan site to the External Links section. It was removed and I was notified that "Wikipedia is not a collection of links, nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Inappropriate links include (but are not limited to) links to personal web sites, links to web sites with which you are affiliated, and links that attract visitors to a web site or promote a product."
I understand that if I was promoting the site to get people to go there and buy things that it would be wrong, but my site is simply another source of information. If the official site was up by now, I'd gladly add that instead (It's currently a placeholder with a single logo on it). My notification after removal of my link states "If you feel the link should be added to the article, please discuss it on the article's talk page rather than re-adding it."
So this is me, discussing that I believe it should be added, as it's an informational resource, with pictures (just like imdb) as well as video clips that people can watch as examples of Sara Rue's work. The page is at sara-rue.com if anyone wants to see what I'm going on about. I saw nothing on the Talk page guidelines about posting that link here, so I believe it is ok.
If anyone can help me get this link addition allowed, it would be greatly appreciated. If I'm completely wrong in my belief that this would be a legitimate and useful link addition, then that's ok too. I probably just need to understand the guidelines better.
