Origin of sar
[edit]I do not know the exact origin of the sar command but it existed long before Solaris. In fact, it was part of IBM AIX (Unix System V based) when it first came out in 1986 back when Sun Microsystems was still using their BSD based SunOS which did not have sar.
The command also predates AIX, and I believe was part of the original Unix System V development. 174.89.87.34 (talk) 04:19, 5 October 2022 (UTC)
