Title

[edit]

This article was moved from Santina (given name), which I think is the proper title as it is an article about the history and usage of the name. Many people, organizations, etc. are potentially named Santina. This is not the only article with the title. For instance, Santina was originally redirecting the page to Santino Marella for some unknown reason when there are existing articles about people who are actually called Santina. The page needs to be moved back to its original title. Bookworm857158367 (talk) 15:18, 3 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

No, it doesn't. As of now, the given name is the only relevant content on Wikipedia solely under the title Santina. If other entities come along in the future, it can be moved then if it is shown not to be the primary topic. As of now, there is no need for preemptive disambiguation. As mentioned earlier, if there is any risk of confusion with people who have the name, it can be solved with the list of people with the name at the page or with a see also section, as seen here. People will still be able to get to people with the name and similar titles at the target. I can understand your point of view, but these have been the naming conventions of Wikipedia for 10–20 years. Again, if you believe that you won't easily change your mind, you can start an RfC or something similar. AllTheUsernamesAreInUse (talk) 02:21, 4 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
PS, you should use en dashes instead of hyphens for date ranges. AllTheUsernamesAreInUse (talk) 02:40, 4 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
