There is a problem with the history of the fabric of this church. If you look at the Nolli map 1748 (the church is number 1289), you will see it drawn with an east to west orientation. Before the 1999 remodelling, the orientation was south to north. Assuming the accuracy of the map (a safe bet), the church must have been restored with a new façade some time after 1748. But when? No source that I've consulted mentions any major work on the church before 1999, although one alludes to a restoration in 1929. To me, the façade looks late 18th century; the coat-of-arms in the tympanum of the pediment might have been re-used. Basilwatkinsosb (talk) 09:23, 30 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]
