Administrators have been notified and requested that he be banned for violation of terms of service and cyberbulling. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2602:30A:C07A:25C0:CC23:3F82:60AC:138D (talk) 21:46, 18 December 2013 (UTC)

Lack of neutrality

Violation of 3RR terms of use rule on 12/17/2013, 12/18 and 12/19 by coretheapple. Violation of verifiability and reliable source rules. Coretheapple is using DNAinfo and Gothamist opinion rumor gossip blogs as sources. They are unreliable. They are no more reliable then Yelp. Coretheapple vandalized article by removing reference to Yelp. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2602:30A:C07A:25C0:7830:4535:FBBE:34C9 (talk) 13:40, 20 December 2013 (UTC) Have tagged the article pending revisions to turn this article into a balanced, neutral article that reflects the coverage in independent reliable sources. I've added text to remove puffery, bring the article up to date, and better reflect the reliable sourcing. Coretheapple (talk) 18:27, 14 December 2013 (UTC) User above vandaled page and added slanderous defamatory satements User Coretheapple vandalized page to include multiple paragraphs of defamatory unsubstantiated gossip and rumor.— Preceding unsigned comment added by 2602:30A:C07A:25C0:85D1:D9C6:491A:903E (talkcontribs)

Re the IP edit of [1]: If there are independent, reliable secondary sources to support this statement, meeting the requirements of the policy page at WP:V, please provide them here. Please remember to "sign" comments with four tildes (~~~~) and place the newest ones at the bottom. The article is semi-protected, so edits to the article itself are not possible from non logged-in accounts.

The article reflects the media coverage, which at the present time deals overwhelmingly with the New York SantaCon, which appears to have been the very largest such event by far, and the coverage, again overwhelmingly, dealt with participant behavior issues. If there are some sources on other events that have been overlooked, please advise here. All I could find was Spokane, and it is in the article. Coretheapple (talk) 16:05, 19 December 2013 (UTC)

For example, this[2] is all I can find about the Los Angeles SantaCon, a photo array on laist.com along with a description of the "sloshed Santas" "stumbling around" and describing SantaCon as "Hundreds of people dressed as Santa (and some as reindeer, Christmas trees, elves, and even Jesus) meet up at a secret location for an entire day of bar crawling and general debauchery." Laist.com may or may not be a reliable source, I'll have to check, but the event was not covered in the Los Angeles media itself, and even if usable it is not going to change the tenor of the article very much. Wow this is "so subversive". Can you tell me how it actually threatened the status quo anymore than the usual bevvies of apolitical drunks to be found in most of the world's cities?

I think the best way to explain, is to see it. I participated in Ottawa this year, and while targeted at adults... Santa makes you smile, and it kind of messes with the perception of Christmas. --Waterspyder 14:05, 20 December 2005 (UTC)

This article is garbage. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.245.82.12 (talk) 22:43, 11 December 2013 (UTC)

I have to concur. This article is garbage. It amounts to a press release. Santacon has received substantial publicity in New York City for rowdy behavior. Coretheapple (talk) 16:03, 14 December 2013 (UTC)

Coretheapple again violated the three-revert rule (part of the Edit warring policy). He again vandalized the Santacon page. Will report to admins with request to delete his account for repeated violations of Wikipedia terms of service and anti community, antisocial activity.

No violation evident. Coretheapple's edits are fine. --NeilN talk to me 06:43, 23 February 2014 (UTC)

Addition to the "Participant conduct and community opposition" section.

In 2013 two Santacon organizers in San Francisco were cited by San Francisco Park Rangers for an unpermitted event and for littering while unloading a pickup truck full of snow into Duboce Park for a snowball fight.

The unpermitted event charge was invalidated at the time of entry as the Park Rangers cited them for PK7.03 and the correct violation is PK7.03U. The littering charge went to trail where is was dismissed on March 27th, 2014.

Chase me ladies, I'm the Cavalry, I see you've deleted the disputed sentence altogether. There's little difference in sourcing between that and the sentences that remain. --NeilN talk to me 21:53, 26 November 2014 (UTC)
