This is a bizarre pond. The image of this pond is not visible on Google's, Mapquest's, or Yahoo's global positioning but is visible on WikiMapia's global positioning. I'll travel to this area on Friday, 26 October 2007 to verify that this pond is indeed there. Ed 03:10, 26 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I drove down to Wareham. The pond does exist. This does not, however, explain why the pond does not show up on the aforementioned global positioning services. Ed 18:05, 26 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Clicking on the coordinates opens a webpage listing several internet sites where this location is listed, at top of this page are links to the common internet map websites. However, these take you only to the coordinates and not the place name or markers listed below, several additional steps are required to access this additional information, except for the Open Streets Maps.

Water-bodies in Massachusetts named "Sandy Pond" should to be added to Wikipedia

There several water-bodies named "Sandy Pond" in Massachusetts which should be added to Wikipedia.

These are also used to name infrastructure projects, water quality reports and to provide a reference point for other features. An example is Sandy Pond (42.562064,-71.555851) in Ayer, Massachusetts, which lends it name at a 2 Gigawatt High Voltage DC Transmission Line Converter Station at (42.568511,-71.526025).
