I have deleted the reference to San Mames being the oldest stadium in Spain. As can be read in the Spanish wikipedia, "El Molinon" has not a proofed building date, but games played there were already quoted in local newspapers as early as 1908. The fact that El Molinon is the oldest, continously used football stadium in Spain is a well known fact in Spanish soccer. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 62.42.39.208 (talk) 19:02, 31 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

  • Wikipedia is not a reference for Wikipedia, and El Molinon has a known building date. What is meant by this is building as a STADIUM, not a playfield. In 1913 San Mames was built with full accomodation for spectators, and it is the oldest built in Spain. David (talk) 07:51, 3 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
  • Certainly Wikipedia is not a valid reference, you are right--however, there is a full reference to a newspaper with dates. Your point about the "building" may be well taken, though. Thanks for clearing that.62.42.34.130 (talk) 20:32, 4 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
