A CONCURRENT RESOLUTION
A CONCURRENT RESOLUTION DIRECTING THE DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS AND OTHER OFFICIALS HAVING JURISDICTION IN THE PREMISES TO PERMIT CHARLES B. SAMPSON TO EXTEND THE MARKING SYSTEM OF THE SAMPSON TRAIL OVER ALL ROADS IN THE STATE OF IDAHO WHERE SUCH MARKING SYSTEM MAY BE USED WITHOUT VIOLATING FEDERAL ACTS AND REGULATIONS.
WHEREAS, Charles B. Sampson, of Boise, has for many years rendered great service to the people of the State of Idaho and travelers within its borders, by extending the Sampson Trail system of marking throughout the state and over many roads that are not otherwise marked for the guidance of tourists and travelers, and WHEREAS, The Sampson Trail has been maintained without any expense to the state of Idaho but at the sole expense of said Charles B. Sampson, who has in this matter rendered a service to the public that is and should be recognized by the people of the state,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, By the Senate, the House of Representatives concurring, that until otherwise ordered by the Legislature, the Department of Public Works and the Bureau of Highways, and all officials having jurisdiction in the premises, shall grant unto said Charles B. Sampson, of Boise, Idaho, the right and privilege of marking and maintaining the Sampson Trail over state and federal aid highways insofar as the same may be done without violating the laws of the United States and the rules and regulations of the federal government.

Why is this so important?
