Is this plagiarized?
[edit]This article says that Farid did not marry Samia because he was a prince has no basis at all. Farid never got married and always stated that Marriage Kills Art. That statement is well documented in interviews and biographers of Farid. Then it is safe to assume the reason he did not marry Samia, because he never believed in Marriage. http://almashriq.hiof.no/general/000/070/079/al-jadid/aljadid-farid01.html —Preceding unsigned comment added by 62.120.156.55 (talk) 13:12, 28 November 2009 (UTC)
From gobellydance.com (the first link):
In 1949, Egypt's King Farouk proclaimed Samia Gamal "The National Dancer of Egypt". That brought US attention to this famous Arabic dancer.
Samia came to the US in 1950. She appeared in Life with beautiful strobe like whirls, all photographed by G. John Mili . She also performed in The Latin Quarter, New York's trendy nightclub. She married so called "Texas millionaire" Shepherd King III (who, it was later reported, actually only had about $50,000), All this brought her to star proportions as far as the US.

this does not add up.
[edit]At the beginning of this article, it is stated that her birthdate was 1924.
"Samia Gamal stopped dancing in 1972 when she was in her 60's but began again after given advice by Samir Sabri. She then danced till the early eighties. Samia Gamal died on December 1st, 1994 at 70 years of age in Cairo, Egypt." It seems to me she should have been 48 if she stopped dancing in 1972. Amity150 19:24, 19 June 2006 (UTC)
Sorry, was my fault just a simple typo. I fixed it now so it "adds up" ;) Cassandra581
According to this page she was married to 2 men at the same time and her date of birth and age at death are all messed up and inconsistent in different parts. Dinaaslan (talk) 04:29, 4 November 2019 (UTC)
Fair use rationale for Image:Img45.gif
[edit]Image:Img45.gif is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 08:45, 5 June 2007 (UTC)
