[edit]This article should be renamed to "Sambódromo da Marquês de Sapucaí" or "Marquês de Sapucaí Sambadrome". There is at least one additional Sambadrome of equal importance in São Paulo called the "Sambódromo do Anhembi" or "Anhembi Sambadrome". —Preceding unsigned comment added by Bowzee (talk • contribs)
I disagree. The Rio de Janeiro Sambadrome carnival festivities are televised nationwide through out carnival and Rio de Janeiro is well recognized as the center of carnival. This is not the case with the Sao Paulo Sambodromes. Yes there are other Sambodromes however I would disagree in saying they are of "equal importance". Just as there are multiple "Bourbon Street" locations around the U.S. All Americans would agree the most significant would be the Bourbon Street in New Orleans. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.177.1.120 (talk) 04:05, 16 September 2007 (UTC)
