Ethnicity of Samand

[edit]

The ethnicity/Religion of Samand was Yazidi not Kurdish. And these two ethnicities are separated from each other by Yazidis themselves and Armenians and throughout the history. Sabyan (talk) 16:13, 19 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

There's a lot of sources which describe him as Kurdish and Yazidi. The two are not mutually exclusive. --Semsurî (talk) 16:50, 19 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

To many in nowdays are different. And it is not my opinion it is a fact. Saying his ethnicity more accurately is supposed to be more accurate information. what's wrong with that?. Just because some people don't see the difference between "Kurd" and "Yezidi" or some want them to be the same doesn't mean it is true. Sabyan (talk) 11:20, 21 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Removing information on the basis of reliable and verified references is not POV and can have consequences. I will once again revert your edits. If you continue, I would have to report you or request protection for the article. The claim "The ethnicity/Religion of Samand was Yazidi not Kurdish. And these two ethnicities are separated from each other" is false per academia. --Semsurî (talk) 11:31, 21 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

It is not a made up claim as it is "false" nor is it wrong remember that soviets at certian time even separated them. It is simply more accurate Sabyan (talk) 15:33, 22 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

At that time there was no Yazidi nationalism and all Yazidis saw themselves as Kurds. Siyabendov himself wrote a Kurdish-Armenian dictionary. Avestaboy (talk) 08:52, 26 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]
