Death unfindable

[edit]

The descriptive accuracy of his death circumstances and burial is questionable and needs more fact checking. I have checked up on the CWGC website but no Samuel Jennings is recorded who died in 1944 while serving or as a result of war service. Hastings, Sussex, did not then have a crematorium and he is not among those listed by the CWGC as buried in Hastings Cemetery, while the only Hastings Crematorium listed by the CWGC is in New Zealand, and there they only commemorate a soldier who died in 1947 who was not of that name.Cloptonson (talk) 10:56, 26 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Although the cited news story mentions the crematorium that is still incorrect, because while it is co-located in Hastings Cemetery, the crematorium was not built until 1954, ten years after Jennings' death. I have therefore decided to delete mention, while not deleting the citation.Cloptonson (talk) 18:53, 18 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]
