GA Review

[edit]
This review is transcluded from Talk:Sam Cooper Boulevard/GA1. The edit link for this section can be used to add comments to the review.

Comments:

  1. Picture should not be in infobox.
  2. Citations should not be in lead.
  3. There is unreferenced information throughout the article.
  4. Points of Interset section is a bulleted list.
  5. The article is missing a route description, which is standard in road articles.
  6. References 4 and 10 are to a personal website which is not a reliable source.
Due to these issues, especially the lack of a route description, I will have to fail the article. When these issues are resolved, the article may be renominated. Dough4872 (talk) 23:41, 19 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Errors in Exit List

[edit]

There is an error when referring to the Exit Numbers shared with Sam Cooper Boulevard and planned/historic Interstate 40. On I-40, Exit 1 is Front Street (eastbound, for north-south traffic) and Riverside Drive (westbound, for southbound traffic only). Exits 1A (N. Second Street and N. Third Street/B. B. King Boulevard) and 1B-D (N. Danny Thomas Blvd./U.S. 51 & TN 1) were planned as I-40's exits 2A-D. (I-40's current Exit 1E and all exits up to and including Exits 12A-C come from the historic Exit system for a full I-240 loop.) As far as the segments labelled "Sam Cooper Blvd.", the only signed exits are 7 (N. Highland St.), 8 (N. Graham St.), 9 (N. Perkins Rd.), and 10A-B (I-240 south-/westbound and I-40 westbound, respectively).

There is no "Exit 12A" (Summer Ave./U.S. 64, 70, and 79 & TN 1). (That exit belongs to I-40/former I-240, but is accessible to any driver using Exit 10B to leave Sam Cooper Blvd.)

Because of the ghost signage leftover from the I-40 debacle, even (newer) westbound I-40 signs approaching Sam Cooper's eastern terminus identify I-40 West (the main route) as Exit 10B and assign no number to Sam Cooper (which by definition is now a branch route).
