Should we move this article to Salvatore Ferragamo Italia? Most Italian company pages do not have SpA or S.p.A. in the WP title. Certes (talk) 17:42, 20 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]
To be honest the WP:ENGLISHWP:COMMONNAME would simply be Salvatore Ferragamo, but the man is already there. To be honest, given that ambiguity I think I prefer having the SpA in the title, to make the distinction clearer. The other option, which in fact is what most of the other Italian fashion company articles do, would be to merge the company and the man into a single comprehensive article - 80% of the information is common to both anyway. I'm mildly in favour of the merge to be honest, but in the meantime I've largely rewritten this article, in particular stiffening it up with some references. Although it deperately needs some pictures of the actual shoes themselves. One bit I've not touched is the list of stores, which could be argued is a bit too "list-like" for Wikipedia. If people don't want to merge, we could move the company article to Ferragamo, which is currently a redirect to the designer. This would be following the precedent of Gianni Versace and Versace, although in that case the company is pretty much only ever referred to by the surname of the designer. I'm not that bothered either way. FlagSteward (talk) 19:11, 23 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Image:Sferragamo logo.gif is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.
