Merge proposal

[edit]

I propose merging Saint-Honoré d'Eylau (Old Church) into Saint Honore d'Eylau. I am not sure that two separate pages are necessary, considering the sparse amount of information and redundancy between the two pages. I favor using Saint Honore d'Eylau as the target as it would function somewhat as a day have isambiguation page. Gjs238 (talk) 00:44, 19 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I was thinking the same thing - they are really the same church. thanks for doing this. SiefkinDR (talk) 05:57, 19 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I now am having second thoughts about combining the articles. The two churches now are under the same Archbishop, but otherwise are entirely separate and have very different functions. The New Church is now the parish church, while the old church is now s monastic church of a religious order that favours silence and meditation. The only thing they have in common is the name and the neighbourhood.

I will keep working on this as a single article, but am prepared to break it back into two. What do you think? SiefkinDR (talk) 14:18, 23 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
