The definition needs the following minor grammatical edits, but that section seems to be uneditable, at least by me.
1) Insert semicolon after the word "closed"
2) Replace "like" with "such as" (better yet, leave it out altogether)
3) ".. possible failure" is redundant (impossible failures do not occur, and thus would obviously not need to be detected or acted upon.) Perhaps "specific failure" or "detected failure" might be more informative.
