Confused ligaments?
[edit]I just expanded this article. However, I'm new to anatomy and I found it difficult to find information about this joint. There are at least two issues someone might want to discuss.
- On the internet, numerous sites offering medical definitions are suggesting "intercornual sacrococcygeal ligament" is synonymous to "lateral sacrococcygeal ligament". Having googled this joint and these ligaments for a while I feel certain these sites must be wrong. Something "intercornual" can possibly be thought of as "lateral" but impossibly as stretching from the lower corners of the sacrum to the processes of the first coccygeal vertebra.
- Before I reworked the article it mentioned an interposed fibrocartilage ligament and googling it returns more than a thousand hits. However, I'm convinced this is simply a misunderstanding derived from sections 13 and 16 in Gray's and that all these sites are Wikipedia mirrors.
