History of the club

[edit]

I think the date of the Heid-ASV Stockerau merger is wrong. The article states that the merger occurred in summer 1958, citing from the federation website. But the history section on the federation website is verbatim copied from the German Wikipedia article, and the information there is unsourced at all.

Now if we look through the NÖFV league tables 56/57, 57/58 and 58/59, we see that in those three seasons the town of Stockerau went from three teams to just one. Their results are as follows:

Heid Stockerau:

56/57: 7th in II. Liga

57/58: 2nd in Landesliga

58/59: 14th in Landesliga

Stockerau 07 (formerly Union Stockerau):

56/57: 1st in II. Liga

57/58: 14th in Landesliga

58/59: n/a

Stockerau (the one referred to as ASV TuS Stockerau in the article):

56/57: 10th in Landesliga

57/58: n/a

58/59: n/a

As we can see, in the summer 1957 Heid switched leagues without reaching promotion places and ASV stopped existing, which means this is the year the merge occurred, not 1958. And "[Union] Stockerau 07" either folded in 1958 or was also merged with the other two.
