"Her two funnels were still to be seen above the water on Armistice Day. During the following summer, after a long and heavy gale, they finally disappeared." This is uncited and unclear about dating. Does this refer to the historic day of the Armistice or (as linked) to the first Armistice Day on 11/11/1919? The following summer would be 1919 or 1920 accordingly.
