Requested move
[edit]- The following discussion is closed. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section. A summary of the conclusions reached follows.
- The result was no contest to move to an unnamed page, and to convert this page to a DAB. Moving to SNCASE per discussion here and at WT:AIR#Sud-Est/Sud-Ouest. Will need to have that page deleted by an admin first before I can make the move. - BillCJ (talk) 09:36, 1 October 2008 (UTC)
"Sud-Est" is extremely generic (it means "South-East" in French), lots of things can be referred to, this needs to be renamed, and a dab created in its place (from the hatnote). I suggest SNCASE or Société nationale des constructions aéronautiques du sud-est. There is a related company article at SNCAO, so the SNCASO type name is already used for articles on Wikipedia. 70.55.203.112 (talk) 10:17, 28 September 2008 (UTC)
Survey
[edit]- Support - Per nom. - BillCJ (talk) 13:04, 28 September 2008 (UTC)
- My preferred choice is SNCASO. "Foo (company)" is not my usual prefered way of DABbing aircraft company names unless it's overwhlmingly the common name, which I don't believe is the case here. - BillCJ (talk) 20:48, 28 September 2008 (UTC)
- Another possibility is "Sud-Est (company)" if Sud-Est is determined to be the most common name. — AjaxSmack 18:13, 28 September 2008 (UTC)
Discussion
[edit]Google [1] suggests that the airplane company is not the most likely target, from the first 100 hits. 70.55.203.112 (talk) 12:17, 28 September 2008 (UTC)
- As I have stated on a similar previous nomination, create the dab page first at Sud-Est (disambiguation), then request the move. It's a warranted move but adding a long list of hatnotes could be seen as bordering on WP:POINT and is not the most elegant way to make a case. — AjaxSmack 18:13, 28 September 2008 (UTC)
- Assuming good faith, this seems to be more a case of not knowing the right way to do this than trying to make a point. Although I would not have done it that way, leving it as is saves the trouble of needing an admin to move the DAB page back here. - BillCJ (talk) 20:48, 28 September 2008 (UTC)
Llama
[edit]The Article currrently says "SNCASE SE-3150 Llama". The later SA 315B, developed out of the SE-3150, I have never seen called anything else but "Lama". While it is of course entirely possible, that the name of the aircraft actually was "Llama" during the times before SNCASE was merged into Sud-Aviation, I would bet against it. --BjKa (talk) 10:52, 21 May 2012 (UTC)
