Surrender to Japan
[edit]According to British naval intelligence U-55 surrendered 27th November 1918 at Harwich - in England. So how did she also surrender to Japan?101.98.74.13 (talk) 05:59, 26 March 2016 (UTC)
- That puzzled me as well. It seems that Japan had some destroyers stationed in Malta, under the command of the Royal Navy (see Kaba-class destroyer), and presumably as compensation a bunch of German U-Boats were handed over to Japan at the end of the war. -Ashley Pomeroy (talk) 19:38, 28 February 2020 (UTC)
this needs to be longer
