Sci Fi Channel Australia
[edit]Who thinks the channel will be good? I do. TV1 doesn't have enough space for their shows so having a Sci Fi Channel will be good. Belevsquad 05:40, 9 October 2006 (UTC)
The article says that Sci Fi Channel Australia is unrelated to the one to the US. If that is the case why does it have the same logo as them.--The Shadow Treasurer 05:43, 10 October 2006 (UTC)
- This is a talk page for discussion about the article only. Irrelevant posts about channel content will be removed. No idea about the logo their official site displays that logo though. They would license the name so probably the logo too. - Mike Beckham 05:59, 10 October 2006 (UTC)
Why is the list of programming on a seperate article? Is it to conform to the US and UK pages? Australian pay tv channel articles typically have programming listed in the main article since they are often small. Andrewag 10:25, 23 October 2006 (UTC)
- Agree with that...this channel's owner TV1 has it's list of programming within the main article so I would go by that. --Mikecraig 10:30, 23 October 2006 (UTC)
@The Shadow Treasurer - I belive the relationship to be something like Comedy Central and The Comedy Channel - Related, but not directly. Churba 05:55, 12 November 2006 (UTC)
That sounds much better. --The Shadow Treasurer 02:32, 17 November 2006 (UTC)
Owner
[edit]I pulled this quote off the following website
“ | Australia is once again going to start airing Farscape on their new SCI-FI Channel which is owned in partnership by NBC Universal, CBS Paramount International Television and Sony Pictures Television International and managed by the TV1 General Entertainment Partnership [1] | ” |
The article lists TV1 as the owner anybody know the actual arrangment. Hossen27 05:18, 29 October 2006 (UTC)
TV1 is owned by the above consortium. Reubot (talk) 07:46, 9 December 2007 (UTC)
Subscription package required
[edit]It says in the article that the channel Will be available to Foxtel Digital subscribers on the “Laughter & Living” and “My Escape” package tiers. It is my understanding that Foxtel said to be offered to those only with Platnium and anyone else with other packages would need to purchase it as a separate channel (eg: Adults Only or RAI). --Lakeyboy 01:03, 6 November 2006 (UTC)
Centralized TV Episode Discussion
[edit]Over the past months, TV episodes have been redirected by (to name a couple) TTN, Eusebeus and others. No centralized discussion has taken place, so I'm asking everyone who has been involved in this issue to voice their opinions here in this centralized spot, be they pro or anti. Discussion is here [2]. Even if you have not, other opinions are needed because this issue is affecting all TV episodes in Wikipedia. --Maniwar (talk) 02:05, 16 January 2008 (UTC)
Fair use rationale for Image:SciFi channel.svg
[edit]Image:SciFi channel.svg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.
