After checking the town's official website, it is called the Town of RyeBenje309 21:00, 4 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

The picture displayed is of a church that is located in the City of Rye, not the Town of Rye. For more information on the Town of Rye, go to www.townofryeny.com — Preceding unsigned comment added by Torwebmaster (talkcontribs) 13:18, 9 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Possible dissolution

[edit]

There has been some discussion of dissolving the Town of Rye and making the villages of Rye Brook and Port Chester freestanding town/villages and having Rye Neck become fully part of the free standing town/village of Mamaroneck rather than just part of the village. This would be done to reduce taxes and expenditures. Should this proposed action be mentioned in the main page? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 96.250.206.188 (talk) 15:36, 11 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]
