How many species of Russula can be identified without resort to a microscope?

Not sure - what a colossal headache...Cheers, Casliber (talk · contribs) 13:44, 14 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I would say almost none of them can be identified with 100% confidence without a microscope, or even without DNA analysis - considering the regional variation and intricacy of Russula species complexes. de Bivort 14:48, 14 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Synonymy

[edit]

Gymnomyces/Martellia are actually already accepted synonyms according to MycoBank. I created redirect pages. Macowanites (syn. Elasmomyces) and Cystangium are still in use. Tylototriton (talk) 19:32, 28 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]
