The actual altitude is ~4620 m or 15160 feet

a) All available topographic maps show the lake to be slightly above the 4600m contour line, eg see https://web.locusmap.app/en/?lat=36.174673&lng=74.879980&z=17&map=hikeBike&poi=36792323

b) I was at the lake last week (October 2024) and, and all our GPS devices agreed with the 4620m elevation.

Is there any geographical survey or satellite data that I could check to get an authorized elevation?

All online sources either copy data from Wikipedia ("4694 meters") or make unclear claims about "4700 m" or "over 4700 m". Kurinurm (talk) 10:15, 30 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
