Past tense

[edit]

The demographics portion of this article is written in past tense. It feels like the town no longer exists when you are reading. When I started writing my editor was always, and still is, on my case about mixing tenses. We owe it to those people using Wikipedia for the main source of information to be accurate with information and precise with our grammar and syntax. And tenses😎 Texasjoygirl (talk) 15:46, 23 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Past tense is appropriate for this situation because the census was conducted in the past and only describes the demographics of the town at a precise point in time. Rocfan275 (talk) 15:09, 26 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
