Slight tan

[edit]

As a child I was always interested that Rupert annuals featured a quite different character on the front of the book to that on the pages inside. Rupert would have flesh (human) hands and a yellow/brown tinge to his fur on the outside covers, and yet was completely white in the stories themselves. I am not sure how much the change in his colour in this series is a mark of political correctness (as seems to be the insinuation in the article) and how much it is a return to this earlier version.Jimjamjak (talk) 23:54, 6 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Ping Pong/Pong Ping

[edit]

Shouldn't the article be referring to Pong Ping and not Ping Pong? Jimjamjak (talk) 23:55, 6 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

You would think so, it was always Pong Ping in the newspaper strip and annuals! And Pong Ping was MALE. But no longer. The new character in this animated Tv series for pre-schoolers is a girl named Ping Pong!!! Likewise, the Fox twins used to be two brothers Freddy and Ferdy, now its brother and sister Freddy and Freda!! And Rupert looks more like Winnie the Pooh than he does Rupert!Softwarestorage (talk) 01:56, 7 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
