Rule Financial is a British multinational company based in London, UK. It provides business consulting, technical consulting and IT services, mainly to the financial sector. The company has offices in London, New York, Boston and Toronto, and currently employ over 750 people. The company also has development centres in Poland and Costa Rica.

History

Marcus Rule founded the eponymous Rule Financial in 1997 in the City of London as a specialist business and technology consultancy for investment banks. The company opened development centres in 2008 in Barcelona and Łódź (Poland), following the acquisition of Polish-based company Peer-to-Peer Systems. In 2010 Rule Financial moved to a new office in the City,and in the same year were listed in The Sunday Times Tech Track 100 for the fourth time since their inception. In 2011 the Polish office moved to larger premises.

Subsequent expansion included offices in Boston and Toronto (following the acquisition of The Waterline Group), and the addition of a second development centre in Poznań, currently employing more than 250 employees. The eighth office opened in early October 2013 in Heredia, Costa Rica to provide support to clients in North America.[1]

The company has been a Microsoft Gold Certified Partner' since 2009, and are members of the Oracle partner network. Other partners include HTML5 runtime technology provider OpenFin,[2] information security and compliance specialists Dtex Systems[3] and Recommind (software company)[4] specialising in predictive information management.
